While the football world salivates unashamedly at the performances of Arsene Wenger's young gunners in the Carling Cup, unfortunately for the rest of the Premiership they are just the tip of the iceberg. The maturity of Denilson, Hoyte and co. have caused such a stir that everybody seems to have forgotten about the others in the Emirates stable, sent out to Championship clubs on loan in order to gain experience.
Birmingham lead the Championship thanks in no small part to the goals of Niklas Bendtner, the guile of Sebastien Larsson and the presence of Fabrice Muamba. Arturo Lupoli is impressing as Derby challenge, Kerrea Gilbert a fixture at Cardiff, and so well stocked is Wenger's pantry that Anthony Stokes has been allowed to sign for Sunderland despite scoring three hat-tricks in the first half of the season while on loan at Falkirk. With others presumably in the system of who we have yet to hear, Arsene Wenger's stock will surely continue to rise long after his retirement.
